Invitation to the 7th EVAA Non-Stadia Championships, Malta 28th - 29th April, 2001 The Malta Amateur Athletic Association is indeed proud that Malta has been chosen to organise the 7th EVAA Non-Stadia Championships. Our small and historic island will now have the opportunity to welcome an impressive number of European athletes to our shores. In our preparation for these Championships , special care has been given to the choice of race venues and accommodation. St Paul’s Bay , the site for both the 10k and Half Marathon , is a popular holiday resort which is traditionally associated with the biblical story about the shipwreck of St Paul. The walks will take place in Ta’ Xbiex , an area close to a picturesque Yacht Marina that also has breathtaking views of the historic bastions of Valletta. We are sure that your participation in Malta will be an enjoyable and memorable experience. The Championships are being organised in conjunction with the Parliamentary Secretariat for Youth, Culture and Sport together with the two local Councils of St Paul’s Bay and Ta’ Xbiex.
